Mrs. Lane lives in Frederick, Maryland with her husband Joe and their three boys, Joey, Brian and Kevin. Mrs. Lane holds a Master’s degree in Elementary Education.
Originally, Mrs. Lane earned her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania. She has taught in rural, suburban and intercity Philadelphia, before moving to Maryland.
Mrs. Lane has been a corporate trainer and computer consultant for Bell & Howell, CMC Marconi and Catapult Learning Systems. While starting a family Mrs. Lane opened Kate’s Kids Family Child Care inside her Frederick, Maryland home. She outfitting her basement to fit the needs of a fully functional Nationally Accredited Licensed Child Care. After starting graduate school with a Maryland Judy Hoyer Grant, Mrs. Lane returned to Public School as a Pre-K teacher in the Frederick County Public School District. In addition to Pre-K, Mrs. Lane has taught full day kindergarten, and second, fourth, and seventh grades.
Mrs. Lane currently works at Linganore High as a Family and Consumer Science teacher where she established the Little Lancers Preschool and Child development suite of courses when the new Linganore building was opened in 2010. In January 2013 Mrs. Lane became an Adjuct Professor at Frederick Community College teaching Early Childhood Education Courses.
